Fishing.
In the fjord of Godfjord there are a great lot of fish. In the summertime the most customary kind are the coalfish., but you can also get nice cod. If you are using a fishing net you are able to catch flatfish, wolffish and sometimes salmon.
By the way,
it is not only in the fjord you can try some angling. There are good lakes for fishing.
Are you buying a fishing licence you can angle in Lebikkvatnet and Storevatnet.
Lebikkvatnet are the most easily lake to visit. It will takes you about 30 minutes
to walk on a gravelled road, from the county road. The lake is lying in a sheltered
valley sorunded by woodland and mountains. In the lake you can fish for trout and char.
The next lake you can try is Storevatnet. The track is relatively easy going, but very
steep in some places. However, it is a good lake for fishing.
There are also a third lake you can visit, Heivatnet. The are not an equally good quality
of fishing as in the other lakes, but you will have a marvellous view over the fjord and
the mountains.
